Before I get around to sharing the link promised in the title of this post, I have to comment on the awesome cheesiness of the poster for The Scarlet Claw (above). Floating heads, accompanied by the exclamations "New Thrills!" and "New Terror!" Well, I've seen The Scarlet Claw, and I don't recall it being all that thrilling or terror-filled. Still, it's a good bit of Rathbone/Bruce fun, and it's one of the films on the Top 5 list in this article from Den of Geek!

I usually reserve links to I Hear of Sherlock Everywhere (which is my favorite Sherlockian website) for when I actually write articles for them every so often. But this podcast was so good, I had to include a link here on my Baker Street Babble blog. My grandfather, who was the main person to get me interested in Sherlock Holmes when I was 10 or 11 years old, believed that Basil Rathbone's portrayal of the great detective was THE definitive one. Shortly after I first began reading the stories, Jeremy Brett's Granada series began to hit PBS, and so I had to disagree with Grandpa. However, as an adult (all these years later), I have to admit to a begrudging admiration for what Rathbone and Bruce achieved. Do yourself a favor, and give this podcast a listen...
